How To Setup Notifications For New Quiz Completions

Overview:

Receiving notifications for quiz completions in your courses helps you track learner progress and engagement. This guide explains how to set up automated notifications in Shopify using its automation feature.

Steps:

1. Open Shopify Flow. In your Shopify admin, go to Apps and select Flow.

2. Click Browse templates.

3. In the search field, type quiz completed, then select Send internal email when a quiz is completed.

4. Click Install in the upper-right corner. The template includes the Quiz Completed trigger and Send internal email action.

5. Click the Send internal email step to customize your notification:

• To: Replace your@email.com with the email address that should receive notifications.
• Subject: Keep New Quiz Completed or enter your preferred subject.
• Message: Edit the email content as needed. The template already includes the member’s name, email address, and quiz answers.

To add a variable:

Click Add variable beneath the subject or message field, then select the information you want to include—for example, the quiz score, number of correct answers, or lesson link. To replace an existing variable, remove it and insert your preferred variable.

6. Review your settings, then click Turn on workflow in the upper-right corner.

💡 Tip: After activating the workflow, complete a quiz as a test member and check that the notification arrives at your chosen email address.
