# How To Place A Test Order

Placing a test order in your store is an essential step to ensure that the purchasing process works smoothly for your customers. This guide will walk you through creating a discount code to make the test order total zero, allowing you to test the entire checkout process without actual payment.

# How To Create Discount Code

1. Go to the **Discounts** section in your store's admin panel.

2. Click on the **Create Discount** button.

3. Select **Amount Off Order**.

4. Generate random code in the **Amount Off Order section**
| The method should be **Discount Code**
| Then Click on the **Generate random code** link
| Copy the code.

5. In the discount Value Section, in the percentage box, type in **100** and select **Both** for Purchase Type

6. Make sure to click on the **Limit the number of times this discount can be used in total**  then type in the number of times you want to use the discount code in the box.

9. Save the discount settings to activate the code.

# How To Place a Test Order

1. Go to your store and select the product you want to purchase.

2. **Apply the Discount Code:** Input the discount code in the designated field and click **Apply**.

3. ** Verify Details** 
| Ensure the order total is **reduced to zero**.
| Enter Email Address
| Fill in billing details. Then click **Complete Order**.

6. **Follow any post-purchase prompts** to activate a customer account.

| If the product includes access to courses or communities, verify that these are accessible after purchase.
