### Overview:
Customizing a certificate for your course in Shopify allows you to align it with your brand and provide a personalized achievement acknowledgment for your students. Here’s how to do it.

# Add Certificate

1. Go to Tevello App **Courses**

2. Select the Course where you want to add the certificate

3. Go to **Course Settings**

4. On the right side you will see the **Completion Certificate** section then click **Edit**

5. The certificate edit section will pop up.
| In this section, you will see an HTML-based certificate. You can change it however you like. Dynamic variables are also available. Additionally, you can preview your certificate to see what it looks like.

# Upload Background Image 

1.  Prepare a custom background image that reflects your brand. 
* Upload this image to the **Content and Files** section in Shopify

2. Click on the chain icon to copy the link of the image
| If you wish to upload a new background image click **Upload files** 
| Ideal certificate background image size: 2000x1414 px

# Adding Customized Certificate to the Course

1. Go to **Courses**

2. Select the Course where you want to add the certificate

3. Go to **Course Settings**

4. On the right side you will see the **Completion Certificate** section then click **Edit.**

5. Replace the background image by pasting the copied link into the HTML code.

| Click the Download Preview Certificate to review the certificate. Once satisfied with the customization, click **Close**

6.  Once done click **Save**

# Add Certificate to the Lesson

1. Click **Add Lesson**

2. Add the Lesson Name and details about the certification.

3. To add the certification block, click **Add** then select **Add Certificate**

4. Edit the certification block

5. Once done click **Save**
